The Role

Financial Services Supervisor

The University’s Finance Department has an opportunity for a Financial Services Supervisor to join the Finance Services team, part of the University’s Finance Department.  The post holder will support the Financial Controller and the Deputy Financial Controller.  The job has during covering the efficient processing of payments, collection of income and reconciliations as well as being a key partner in developing good stakeholder relationships.  The post holder will lead in the provision of innovative and efficient customer focused services, ensuring that all transactions processed are in accordance with the established University Financial Regulations, Controls and Procedures.  The post holder will work closely with the Financial Controller, Deputy Financial Controller and key stakeholders to deliver the University’s and departments strategy.


The Person

The successful candidate will have a financial background with previous experience working in a supervisor position, from within the commercial, higher education or public sector. Technically adept, you demonstrate advanced excel skills and excellent numeracy.  The ability to work under pressure to meet conflicting deadlines, in addition to effectively managing and interpreting large quantities of financial data, will be preferred. The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills as well as a proven commitment to offering exceptional customer service to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.  Knowledge of paying international and domestic suppliers would be advantageous.
