The Institute of Advanced Legal Studies was founded in 1947. It was conceived and is funded as a national academic institution, attached to the University of London, serving all universities through its national legal research library. Its function is to promote, facilitate and disseminate the results of advanced study and research in the discipline of law, for the benefit of persons and institutions in the UK and abroad.
About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the archives (paper and digital) at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and for the management of the archives as an integral part of the Institute’s research collections and for making them available to researchers.
To succeed in this role you must be proficient in the use of standard and relevant specialised IT applications including Word, Access, Excel and Adlib as well as well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to deal comfortably with people of all levels and from a variety of backgrounds. You must be educated to a graduate level, or equivalent by experience or ability.
This is a part time role for 7 hours a week (0.2 FTE).
