The University of London is looking to appoint an Estates Surveyor to join the Property and Facilities Management Department.

The University of London Property & FM team are responsible for the management of a large Central London estate incorporating everything from Georgian terraces built in the 1700s to 1980s purpose built offices and student residences. Our estate portfolio includes masterpieces from Charles Holden and Sir Denys Lasdun making it a challenge to manage but also give us a sense of pride and responsibility to have the chance to take care of the estate and maintain them the best possible way.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience and knowledge in respect to the way the University of London manages its assets and to get involved in the practical implementation of projects.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the properties on our estate and covering all aspects of estate management including lease negotiations and compliance, occupier engagement, service charge budgeting, acquisitions and disposals, insurance valuations and rating issues.
The role would suit an experienced and motivated individual who has the ability to work well with others, both within the department and external parties. To be able to think logically when it comes to solving problems and creatively when it comes to new opportunities.
