The Role
Working within the Residential Services team, this role presents an exciting opportunity to enhance pastoral care and community life in the University’s eight Intercollegiate Halls, accommodating 3,500 students in Bloomsbury, Paddington, and Stratford. The Residential Life Manager will improve student wellbeing in the halls by leading a team of seven Wardens, one Vice-Warden, and 51 Resident Advisors to develop and implement an effective residential life programme.
Reporting to the Student Health & Wellbeing Manager, the Residential Life Manager will work with the Warden team to ensure all student residents receive a high-quality student accommodation experience. They will develop appropriate training programmes and policies to ensure the residential life programme is operated effectively, evaluated regularly, and driven by student feedback.
The student-focussed nature of this role sometimes requires working evenings and weekends. There is an expectation to be available for responding to occasional emergency situations that require escalation beyond the local hall level.
