The University of London is a leading UK provider of distance and digital education internationally, offering programmes to 45,000 students in 190 countries around the world. Although proudly rooted in London, our community and impact are global.

We are a national leader in the humanities, and we promote their value to society and the economy through knowledge creation and exchange.

We are also a federation of 17 world class higher education institutions, with collaboration at the heart of our ethos. The University of London federation is a collective community of more than 240,000 learners and 50,000 staff, delivering world-leading research across all disciplines.

Our passion for increasing access to education and mobilising the collective power and expertise of the federation is central to our ability to transform lives around the world and address the global challenges of the future.

The Strategic Communications and Marketing department have recently been brought together in order to support the delivery of the ambitious new corporate strategy. It has a specific purpose around raising awareness and building the reputation of both the central University, and the Federation more widely.

The Role

Working within the Marketing team, under the Strategic Communication and Marketing Department, the Marketing Officer role plays an important part in the Marketing team and works closely on promoting the University of London’s online and distance learning degrees, nationally and internationally.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of the student recruitment marketing campaigns and events, supporting the University strategy. You will also work collaboratively with colleagues across the University and its federation members, to ensure recruitment activities meet objectives, are aligned with the overall strategy, and are integrated into wider university activities.

This is an exciting time to join our dynamic team and play a key role in developing, implementing, and evaluating multichannel marketing campaigns for the university’s core audiences. With a focus on student recruitment, the post holder will attract, nurture, and convert students in the most effective way, utilising student recruitment events, engaging email marketing campaigns and creating outstanding digital marketing content.

We are looking for a skilled and committed individual, with a creative approach to marketing, outstanding written and organisation skills, and who can make decisions quickly in a fast-moving environment.
