The University of London would like to appoint an Associate Dean within Undergraduate Laws. This role will oversee the successful delivery of learning and teaching resources and online learning. The Role
The strategic function of the post holder is to support the development and implementation of the learning, teaching and assessment strategy for Undergraduate Laws acting as the lead Associate Dean specifically in relation to learning and teaching resources and online learning. The post holder will also have lead responsibility for the development and delivery of the modules offered as part of UG Laws programmes. The post holder will oversee student support activities delivered by UG Laws with particular responsibility for student communications. The post holder will have responsibility for guiding and supporting external and internal academic staff and staff in Recognised Teaching Centres (RTCs) with regard to the implementation of the learning, teaching and assessment strategy and the adoption of appropriate online learning and teaching approaches.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in law and have experience of teaching at undergraduate level. They will have experience of designing and implementing learning resources and the ability to use and deliver online learning to support legal education. The candidate will have been involved with providing management and guidance to academic colleagues and technical staff. The candidate will have excellent communication skills and an awareness of diverse cultural backgrounds.

The University currently operates a Hybrid Working framework involving a mix of working remotely and in the office. Typically, the majority of employees will be able to agree to work remotely for up to 60% of their working week, role dependent, however will be required to attend on specific days for training or team meetings.
